Hi, I’m Margaret Hurley. My brother introduced me to hockey when I was a child and I have continued with my, on and not so on, love affair with the Rangers and hockey ever since. What I mean by that is, at this point in my life, I am able to focus more of my leisure time on the sport and the team we all love. I have an empty nest at home and the financial freedom to spend more nights at MSG. I will endeavor to provide my analysis of games and some colorful (and sometimes off-colorful) commentary on the New York Rangers, those “other†teams in the area and the NHL in general. This process of my reintroduction into the world of Ranger hockey has evolved over the last seven years and I hope will continue until they close the lid on me. Along the way I have made some wonderful acquiantences both inside the Garden and in cyberspace that have become cherished friendships. Isn’t that what life is all about, sharing the things you enjoy with your friends and family? What I am aiming for here is what most blogs aspire to be, a friendly place for constructive discourse on a subject of mutual interest.  Â

Margaret,
I am working on a new documentary for the NHL on the ’94 Stanley Cup. We are trying to give this show a different feel from much of the past retrospectives on that championship, as we will try to tell the story primarily through the events of about 8 or 9 days that heavily impacted that season. Most importantly, we want the fans to be an equal voice to all the players and coaches that will be interviewed. This is where we could use your assistance.
Based on your short bio on the site, I imagine you have some pretty good stories of that season.
I’d like to set up a time that is convenient for you to talk, please let me know.

Thank you for your time, I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards,
Michael Meyer
